5th Industrial Carbon Management Forum - December 8-9, 2025
The 5th Industrial Carbon Management Forum brings together stakeholders from industry, EU institutions, national authorities, NGOs, and academia in Athens, Greece for a hybrid event dedicated to advancing industrial carbon management technologies across Europe. The forum will examine critical infrastructure development including CO2 transport networks, cross-border CO2 transportation, and market establishment mechanisms. Building on previous editions that attracted over 500 in-person and 2,600 online participants, this gathering aims to inform EU policy initiatives and accelerate the deployment of carbon capture and storage solutions.
Core Forum Focus Areas
- Establishing a competitive internal market for CO2 in Europe
- CO2 transport infrastructure and cross-border transportation networks
- Implementation of the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA)
- Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming (CRCF) Regulation
- Legislative initiatives for CO2 market and infrastructure development
Strategic Importance
The ICM Forum continues to serve as Europe's primary stakeholder consultation platform for industrial carbon management policy development. The outcomes directly inform the European Commission's legislative initiatives and investment strategies aimed at establishing competitive CO2 markets and transportation infrastructure necessary to meet the EU's 2050 climate neutrality objectives.
